Oh to be able to sleep like a cat… I think Gary is missing Baby Cakes daughter who is back at college.

Thanks to the wind again today, I was able to hang clothes on the line outside. Yeah for free clothes drying!
Day 3 on Bright Line Eating. I am hungry and thinking about food. I hope I can get this plan down so I don’t have to think about it so much. I need a few easy and tasty recipes/meals handy to make without thinking…
Also, I need to figure out the weight tracking on my Fitbit. I want it to start with this dieting time, instead of back in May. Oh Google, tell me the answer…
So on my quest to regain my body, I am trying the Bright Line Eating system for 28 days. It is 4 weeks until Christmas, when I know it will be impossible to follow any plan perfectly. I am desperate to get some pounds off. I could not weigh myself this morning, as I have to get a new battery for my scale. This system is fairly simple:
- No Sugar
- No Flour
- No snacking, eat 3 meals a day
- Weigh/measure your food
No weird food to purchase or recipes to follow. Just those guidelines. I checked out the book at the library, so I am trying this for free. Here’s the book:
Here are my reminder cards I made up, so I can eat the correct amounts at the right time:
Here is my menu plan, which I am supposed to create the day before:
I’ll keep you posted…
Happy Fall! We finally had a killing frost last night, so I have no excuses to not clean up my garden.
Doris, the sassy cat, loves boxes. She was being a rascal this morning, so I set the box on the counter and she jumped right in. She is in her happy place!

How about prudence?
When thinking about the name of my blog and what I wanted the name to convey, I became very interested in the the words prudent and prudence. Yes, there can be negative connotations around these words, so I looked in my dictionary, again.
I really like what Merriam Webster has to say: the habit of acting with deliberation and discretion, wisdom applied to practice. Love it! Also, careful management, economy.
That is exactly what I want in my life. This blog will be my testimony of moving in that direction.
Thank you very much!
Hello October! I can’t believe you have arrived.

Here is Gary, the mighty mouse hunter, resting. He caught and ate a mouse sometime during the night. How do I know this? Well, Gary vomited mouse parts on the rug this morning. Gross!
This is my very first post. It is actually my 47th birthday today and I want to try something new for this next year. We’ll see what the year brings!
