Oh to be able to sleep like a cat… I think Gary is missing Baby Cakes daughter who is back at college.

Thanks to the wind again today, I was able to hang clothes on the line outside. Yeah for free clothes drying!

Day 3 on Bright Line Eating. I am hungry and thinking about food. I hope I can get this plan down so I don’t have to think about it so much. I need a few easy and tasty recipes/meals handy to make without thinking…

Also, I need to figure out the weight tracking on my Fitbit. I want it to start with this dieting time, instead of back in May. Oh Google, tell me the answer…

My dear little Doris. She loves being in boxes! I think we have a box in almost every room so she has her safe space.

Quote of the day: “There is no secret to success except hard work.” – Countee Cullen

Back to work day…. after a long weekend, five days for me, it is nice to get back into the routine.

Day 2 on the Bright Line Eating plan. I weighed myself this morning. Ugh, I have work to do. So far so good… one day at a time.

I am doing laundry again today. Remember yesterday I had the picture of my sheets blowing in the breeze. Well, I went to town to run some errands and when I came home, the yard was full of smoke. It seem the farmer to our south thought it was a good idea to burn the trees he ripped down 2 or 3 years ago. All my clean, fresh laundry was outside. It was too late to rewash everything yesterday, so I am washing again today. At least the wind today is helping to remove the smoke smell!

Bright Line Eating – 28 days test

So on my quest to regain my body, I am trying the Bright Line Eating system for 28 days. It is 4 weeks until Christmas, when I know it will be impossible to follow any plan perfectly. I am desperate to get some pounds off. I could not weigh myself this morning, as I have to get a new battery for my scale. This system is fairly simple:

  1. No Sugar
  2. No Flour
  3. No snacking, eat 3 meals a day
  4. Weigh/measure your food

No weird food to purchase or recipes to follow. Just those guidelines. I checked out the book at the library, so I am trying this for free. Here’s the book:

Here are my reminder cards I made up, so I can eat the correct amounts at the right time:

Here is my menu plan, which I am supposed to create the day before:

I’ll keep you posted…

Oh, sweet Gary the cat. He is big, but he can balance!

Quote of the day: “Ever tried? Ever failed? No matter. Try again.” – Samuel Beckett

Ah, the last week of the month and we have four weeks or 28 days until Christmas. We did not hit the stores for the sales, just a few online purchases. We don’t only give gifts to our immediate family and our parents, so it is not too stressful.

I am getting the house in order after having everyone home over the Thanksgiving break. I forget how full the house feels when we are all home…

I am being prudent today. Always looking for ways to save. My sheets are on the clothes line today and the clothes are on racks on the front patio. Being without a dryer to almost 5 years now makes me aware of the times when the laundry can dry outside.

Look at the sheets blowing in the breeze. It will be sweet dreams tonight! Nothing smells as good as line dried sheets.

Enjoy your day!
